A hug as tight as the first. A promise to catch up soon that feels like a comma in a sentence, but sometimes a goodbye said for the last time. A land where those who stay and those who go say goodbye. This land is a sea in which you sometimes flounder and sometimes stagnate. Only boats with memories float in this water. An empty hanger, a faded photograph, a dried flower, a calendar with the last page torn off. A pair of scissors that cuts the umbilical cord and brings you to your mother’s lap. A train ride that you get on knowing it won’t be the same, but you can’t see beyond the snow. Leaving behind traces that will succumb to time…Separation and longing in your swaddling clothes, pregnant with a new journey in your belly. A land of farewell.

Pancaroğlu, zorluklarla atlatılmış zamanlara “veda” ederken, yaşamından, belleğinden süzülen bazı imgeler de eserinde bedenleniyor. Zamana yenik düşecek izleri ardında bırakarak… Kemençe, ud, ney, kanun ve tanbur bir Hitchcock filminde olduğu her biri sadece tek bir kez “görünerek” bu vedanın içindeki yerlerini alıyorlar.
