We have moved to Urla, a beautiful little town and its extended country side outside of Izmir late August 2017. As much as I love Istanbul and feel there is no other city like it in the world, I managed to convince my family to come and settle in beautiful Urla. I love the air, the beautiful winds, the countryside, the sea…the olive trees, and the skies. Izmir has been on my mind for the last 15 years or so. With my mother’s side of the family being from Izmir, I have always felt I had a part of my heart here (the other parts are in Develi, Istanbul, Bloomington and all places I liced and loved visiting). So, this is a long-time wish come true.
I am grateful to all who helped make this happen, my son and husband who followed my instinct, my parents and sister who were of great support getting us settled in our new home. I am very moved.
